This privacy statement describes the processing of your personal data via Calliope, owned and operated by spriteCloud B.V. (‘sC’). Calliope is a dashboard, independent of any test solution that unifies your results to share with the world. Calliope comprises of the following web sites: www.calliope.pro, app.calliope.pro and docs.calliope.pro.

We understand that you wish to protect your privacy and your personal data. We know the protection and security hereof is important to you. We will always process your personal data in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations concerning data protection, such as the General Data Protection Regulation and the Dutch Telecommunications Act. This privacy statement informs you of the way in which we collect, process and protect your personal data, for what purposes and on which legal grounds.

When using our Calliope websites, sC will be qualified as the data controller concerning your personal data. If a company makes use of our services, we act solely as data processor. For more information about the processing of your personal data via applications of our customers, we refer you to the privacy statement of the respective companies.

We will not process your personal data for any other purposes than stated in this privacy statement. Your personal data will not be retained any longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected, unless further processing of your data is required by any data protection laws and regulations.

We will ask your prior consent for the processing of your personal data, unless we have a legitimate interest hereto. If the processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. Please be aware that this withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Our Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing personal data in relation to Calliope is our legitimate interest, and the legitimate interests of our users, in ensuring the security and integrity of our products and services.

The legal basis for processing data for marketing is your consent.

The legal basis for processing all other personal data is that we have a legitimate interest: 

  • to perform a task in the interest of our users.
  • in the exercise of our functions as a trusted supplier of products and services. 

Our websites

We collect personal data via our websites which may relate to you.

Mailing lists

You directly provide us with your email address and subscription preferences when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

We collect this information so that we can:

  • Process your order and manage your account.
  • Email you with information to support onboarding.
  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.

When we process your order, we may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

We would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please opt-out via the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of all Calliope marketing emails or contact us directly.

Free trial

You can sign up for a free trial via our website to try out our Calliope service at no cost. In order to sign up for such trial, we ask you to fill in your name, your email address and a password. Please keep the combination of your email address and this password a secret.

We also provide the possibility to sign in with Google. You may create an account by providing Google with a username, your email address and a password. For more information about the processing of personal data by Google, we refer you to their privacy statement.

Your account

When signing up for an account you need to fill in your name, your email address and a password. Please keep the combination of your email address and this password a secret. After your account has been created, you may create an account for your ‘organization’ if your company is new to Calliope. This organization will be used as an umbrella for your apps, plans and billing, teams and settings. If you are already part of an existing team, you can join this team by clicking an invite link that has been sent to you, or you can request an invite from your team.

Live chat

Do you have any questions about Calliope, our plans or our pricing? You can contact us via our live chat function. Via this live chat we do not request or intentionally collect any personal data. This live chat function will automatically collect information about your browser, such as type and version, and your location. We use this information so we can offer the best support, taking into account browser capabilities and possible issues with local infrastructure.

Cookies

We make use of certain cookies on our websites. Cookies are small pieces of data sent by a website and saved by your web browser.

Calliope

We use functional cookies, cookies to automatically sign you in if requested and cookies to enhance your browsing experience.

Google Analytics

We make use of cookies from Google Analytics to obtain information on the quality and effectiveness of this website.

Slaask

Slaask powers our live chat and uses cookie to be able to show you our reply to your chat when you return to our website after closing your browser window, and other user experience enhancing features.

Leadinfo

We use Leadinfo to measure the business use of our website.

Facebook

We use Facebook’s cookies for retargeting.

Twitter

We use Twitter’s cookies for retargeting.

Your rights

Since we collect and use your personal data, you have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning your personal data, and to object to processing as well as the right to data portability.

Regarding the processing of your personal data by Calliope, you thus have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation as to whether or not your personal data are being processed, and, where that is the case, access the personal data and other information relating hereto;
  • obtain rectification of inaccurate personal data and to have incomplete personal data completed;
  • obtain the erasure of your personal data, where the personal data is no longer necessary, you have withdrawn your consent and there is no other legal ground for the processing, you have objected to the processing, and/or where your personal data have been unlawfully processed;
  • obtain the restriction of processing, where the accuracy of your personal data is contested, the processing is unlawful, your personal data are no longer necessary for Calliope but you require those in relation to legal claims, and/or where you have objected to the processing and this objection is pending;
  • receive your personal data in a structured and machine-readable format and to transmit these data directly to another data controller.

We will respond to your request within four weeks. If you do not agree with the contents hereof, the rejection of your request, or the processing of your personal data in any other way, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Third parties

Some of the personal data collected is shared with third party service providers and our business partners, as follows.

Google

We use G/Suite by Google. All email we receive passes through Google Mail, and all data associated with email such as your email address and any headers are stored by Google. In addition we use Google Drive to store spreadsheets and other documents which may include your name and email address.

Slaask

Your name, email address, approximate location, browser vendor & version are stored in Slaask. Slaask powers our live chat and customer support processes. Slaask may enrich your profile with publicly available contact and social information, but this information is not provided by us.

Leadinfo

To measure the business use of our website, we use Leadinfo. This service shows us company names and addresses based on the IP-addresses of our visitors. The service is based in Rotterdam.

Stripe

If you’re a paying customer, your credit card data, name, (office) address and email address are securely stored and processed by our payment provider Stripe. We can see this information, though credit card data is limited to the expiry date and the last four digits of your card. We cannot see your credit card number or CVC (Card Verification Code).

MailChimp

Our email marketing processes and data are administered via MailChimp. We also have an internal database which is connected to the Calliope Pro app where contact information is stored.

We will solely share your personal data where you have given us your explicit consent hereto, or where this is necessary for the performance of a contract, a legal obligation or for legitimate interests of sC, or where we are obliged to disclose your personal data on the basis of a request by or order of a competent authority.

Your data will be stored until you have deleted your account and/or unsubscribe from one of our lists.

Unsubscribe

If you wish for your email address to be removed from our marketing email database you can do so via the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of all Calliope marketing emails.

If you wish for your email address to be removed from our function email database you can do so by deleting your Calliope Pro account in the app under “Account.” An email address is required to use Calliope Pro.

Data Requests

You may request access to and destruction of your data by getting in touch with our Data Protection Officer at dpo@spritecloud.com.

Security measures

We have implemented the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal data will be processed in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations and to ensure a high level of security and integrity of your personal data.

Other

We may change or modify this privacy statement from time to time. We will only process your personal data in accordance with the privacy statement that applied at the time your personal data was collected.
